Registration is now open for Fall '10 SwimAmerica.
Express
SwimAmerica, LLC is a progressive
10 station "learn-to-swim"
program for children ages 3 and over.
As each station's skills are mastered,
the developing swimmer is rewarded
then moved to the next station within
the progression. This effective step
by step method allows even the youngest
swimmers to learn to swim SAFELY,
while offering stronger swimmers the
opportunity to develop all of the
competitive strokes.
Unfortunately, we need to cancel this weekend's SwimAmerica lessons. This was to be the last weekend for Session 8. However, for various reasons beyond our control (instructors sick with flu, college swim meets and Eastern Express swim meets, etc.), and instead of providing an inferior lesson environment this weekend, we are going to cancel this last weekend of session 8. We will start back again next weekend - the weekend of November 14-15 with the first weekend of session 9. We apologize for any inconvenience and offer the following:
1. If you have not registered for session 9 and wish to, then simply credit this missed weekend and pay just $66 for session 9 (some of you have requested this option already due to sick kids).
2. If you do not plan on doing session 9, then you can either carry forward a weekend credit to the next session (spring 2010) or request a $33 refund in writing (via email).
Special note to students in stations 8, 9 and 10
If your son/daughter is in station/level 8, 9 or 10, we would like to offer you participation in Eastern Express's Age Group 1 practice Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:00 to 6:30pm, starting next Tue Nov 10th. As a make-up and as an opportunity to "try it out," you can do the first 4 practices for free. After that, we can discuss continuing through the winter months. Age Group 1 practice is similar to stations 8-10, just a little longer time in the water - 45 minutes to an hour - and with a little "dryland" exercise). Please let me know if you are interested. We will have to limit participation in Age Group 1 practice to the first 12 people on a first come first served basis.
Thanks for your anticipated understanding and look forward to seeing you all again the weekend of the 14th and 15th.

Express SwimAmerica, LLC will be running a Winter Stroke School, starting Monday February 2nd.
The stroke school is designed for upper level SwimAmerica students who would like to improve and refine stroke technique in all 4 competitive swimming strokes (i.e., freestyle, backstroke, breastroke and butterfly) during the winter months and prior to regular lessons starting in April.
The stroke school will be taught by veteran SwimAmerica coaches Jen Travagline and John Greeby (also an age group coach with Eastern Express Swim Team); and overseen by Express SwimAmerica Director and Eastern Express Head Coach Brent Matheson.
Utilizing the latest techniques in stroke refinement, students will learn to swim smarter, more efficiently, and ultimately faster.
When: Every Monday and Thursday night from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm; from Monday February 2nd to Thursday March 19th.
Where: College of New Jersey (home of Express SwimAmerica and Eastern Express Swim Team)
Cost: $250 for all 14 classes or pay a "drop-in" rate of $20/class
How: Only a few spots remain, so sign up asap by email to bmatheson@aol.com. Include in the email the name of your son/daughter and your intention to attend all classes or "drop-in" for some classes. Bring your check to the first class. If the classes become too full (first come, first served) we will have to close the class and the "drop-in" option.
